2020: A New Decade and Journey Begin

Updated: Feb 18, 2020

Dear friends and supporters of LCL:

We often underestimate what we can achieve in one year, let alone a decade. 2019 has been a year of transformation for the Leaders Create Leaders community.

This is a community that almost did not happen. Self-doubt, fear, procrastination, and guilt engulfed me; blocking me from where I wanted to go and where I wanted to be.

Then it all started with the first person, Van Anh, who decided to take a leap of faith to join us as our first member ever. Really!

Then Minh Nhat took to crowdfunding to join us as well. My heart jumped! Then, Mr. Phong, a new friend that I had made just three days earlier said, “why not?”

The rest was history. I knew deep inside that there was no turning back.

After a year of hard work, struggles and challenges, we are now 150 members strong. Each member brings with them their authenticity, courage, and commitment to show who they really are and to see who others truly are. We challenge each other beyond our comfort zones and we celebrate our zone of geniuses together.

This is a testament of what we can achieve together in one year. Moving forward to the next decade, I’m feeling a little bit bolder to dream a bigger dream. I envision Leaders Create Leaders growing into an ecosystem of communities that touches and transforms lives from different age groups, interests, industries, and countries.

It sounded a little scary as I wrote down those words. Now I’m enjoying this feeling once again, just like how it was when I started LCL over a year ago. Where do you see yourself one year from now? Who do you want to be in ten years? Keep dreaming, but start now— it’s all we’ve got.

On behalf of the team at Leaders Create Leaders, I wish all our members, friends, and partners an amazing new year and decade ahead. May all your dreams come true! Thank you for supporting LCL, thank you for taking that leap with us while aspiring to be your best selves.

To you and to future leaders who may one day join us: Happy New Year!

Sincerely yours,

Warren Eng
